On saturday, 21th december, the representatives of the Initiative Board of the Student protest of '96 have had a meeting with the members of the OSCE commitee which is investigating the regularity of the municipal elections in Serbia.
The students have emphasised the non-party nature of their protest and stated their demands and their attitude concerning the current situation in Serbia. They have also been talking about the manner in which the University of Belgrade works, about the Serbian media issue and basic principles of democracy for which the students are struggling, and which are being disregarded in Serbia at this moment.
The OSCE commitee members have stated that it was very important for the to hear the attitude of the students too, because all over the world the students are the carriers of the progressive and democratic thought.
