The Plato

The 102 protest gathering of the students of the Belgrade University started with a speech by Svetislav Basara, our renowned author, who has already addressed us a number times. The project of the day was announced: we were to take a statue of a hand holding a student ID to the National Museum. After the program was announced for the next few days and the service information was read, the walk started.

The "Walk"

To make the walk out of the ordinary, we took the "media route" but in the opposite direction. We saw the usual sights: Politika, Radio Belgrade, Grandma Olga, the RTS building. From the Federal Parliament we walked down Mose Pijade past the Army Hall and ended up at the Republic Square in front of the National Museum. After forming a wall around the entrance, we delivered the statue which is about 2 meters high. It was to stand in the museum to remind the ministers who use it as a cocktail lounge, that the students exists out there and are waiting for them to fall. The museum security would not accept the statue so we returned it to the Plato where it was placed.
