The "Walk"

The subject of todays walk was giving support to the teachers and education workers who were picketing the Serbian government. The students walked to the Serbian government building via Kolarceva, Srpskih Vladara and Kneza Milosa. While plowing through the crowd of teachers, the students greeted and were greeted by their former teachers, who only a few years ago used to grade us. The students and teachers, found themselves on the same street, fighting against the same authority, for related reasons. The students have outdone their tutors up to a point, the teachers are striking for their salaries while the students are fighting for broader and less personal reasons. After Nemanjina and Slavija, the procession returned to the Plato via Bulevar Revolucije, Takovska, Ivo Lola Ribar and Makedonska. There was one noted incident. In front of the RTS building in Takovska when a car ran into the student security which was clearing the path for the procession. The security acted promptly and injuries were avoided.
