The Plato

The 99th day of the Student Protest was not a merry one. The students of many schools held student assemblies in order to discuss the situation at the University and whether it was time to return to class or not. The main problem was deciding who to establish the will of the students regarding this question. One answer is to have a referendum and another to vote at the assemblies. In any case the decision will be made after the session of the University Assembly which is to take place on Sunday. The minister of education has been told to have ordered the schools to start class on Monday, but if the referendums are held, the we will not be able to return to class at least until Thursday and maybe even later. The gathering at the Plato was marked by opinions on what is happening (regarding the diminishing number of students attending the protest gatherings, today there were "only" 10,000), what can happen and how much control we have over the situation. The short gathering ended with the address of Ceda Jovanovic, who informed us of the destination of today's walk.

The "Walk"

One of the most usual routes was taken today, but with a different connotation. We passed down Srpskih Vladara and Kneza Milosa, and up Nemanjina to the ministry of education. There we placed a reef in front of the wall where the plackets with all the names of the institutions with offices in the building. The whole picture had a funeral look to it. The intention was to show the death of the ministry and its hand - the Chancellor of the Belgrade University. The procession then proceeded to Slavija and returned to the Plato through Beogradska, Bulevar Revolucije, Takovska and Ivo Lola Ribar. There were no incidents during the walk.
