MIHAJLOVIC TRANSFER CONFIRMED

Zurich, 12 November 1996 - FIFA has confirmed that AS Roma
must pay the full transfer fee, plus interest, for the
player Sinisa Mihajlovic, whom the Italian club had bought
from FC Red Star Belgrade in 1992.

The payments for the transfer had never been made because
of an embargo imposed by the United Nations on payments to
societies with their legal base in Yugoslav territory.
After the lifting of the ban in November 1995, AS Roma
first agreed but then refused to pay the transfer fee.

The FIFA Players' Status Committee has informed both clubs
that the contract for Mihajlovic's transfer to AS Roma was
valid, and has ordered AS Roma to pay the originally agreed
sum of nine million US Dollars, plus 5.5% interest, making
a total of USD. 11,197,173. The sum is to be paid in five
instalments, the first due on 31 December 1996 and the last
on 31 December 1997.

In the case of the player Marko Pantelic, the Committee has
decided that the player is bound by contract to the Greek
club Heraclis Salonica, and is not qualified to play for
Paris St.Germain or any other club without the written
agreement of Heraklis. The Committee was satisfied that the
player's father had signed a contract with the Greek club
on his behalf while he was still a minor, and that this
contract was still in force.
