TEACHERS PROTEST THROUGHOUT SERBIAAt
noon of Feb. 13, teachers protests were held
simultaneously in towns throughout Serbia. Out of 2,200
schools in Serbia, 1,800 are on strike. The teachers are
demanding higher wages and their outstanding salaries.
More than 2,000 teachers from Novi Sad sent an open
letter to the Serbian Premier Mirko Marjanovic,
protesting because government had no ears for their just
demands. Several thousand teachers gathered in Nis, while
